The Redmi 9 Prime has been unveiled as Xiaomi's latest
affordable smartphone. The new offering comes with a similar set of
specifications to the Redmi 9 which was launched in Spain in June. The phone
has a waterdrop-style notch display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80
SoC. The Redmi 9 Prime comes with a quad rear camera setup that includes an
ultra-wide-angle shooter. Other major highlights of Redmi 9 Prime include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 18W fast charging support, and an infrared
(IR) blaster. The smartphone also comes in four different color options. Apart
from this, Redmi 9 Prime will like Realme Narzo 10 and Samsung Galaxy M11 in
the country.
Redmi 9 Price in India, Sale Date
The price in India of Redmi 9 Prime, 9,999 has been set at
Rs. 9,999 for the 64 GB storage variant, while the 128 GB storage option has
Rs. 11,999. Both models come in Space Blue, Mint Green, Matte Black, and
Sunrise Flair color options. In addition, the smartphone will be available for
purchase in the country during Prime Day for the first time on August 6 as part
of an early access sale through Amazon. After the initial access sale, the
phone will be put on sale from August 17 through mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Home
stores and Mi Studios.
